Finding your First Theme Park Job in Orlando



Home to some of the world’s most famous theme parks, getting hired by one of them for your first job could be a dream for many. Here are some considerations you must make while looking for a theme park job in Orlando – 

1.    International Students – International students tend to find it a lot more challenging to find a job with one of the many theme parks that are located in this region. But depending on how committed you are to your job hunt, acquiring an entry level position isn’t entirely impossible. 
 
Many of these parks offer international programs for students who aspire to spend their holidays working at their parks and resorts. These stints typically last for three to four months and most likely belong in F&B, Merchandise, Entrance Operation, Attractions or Parking.

You must be at least 18 years of age and must be good with your English communication skills. In addition to meeting specific visa requirements, you will be expected to attend a theme park presentation and interview.

2.    Local Students – As a sophomore, junior, senior or graduate level student you are eligible to apply for a number of student internships that these parks offer. In addition to this, you are expected to have a GPA of 3.0 or more and meet the specific job qualifications that they demand.

These 10 week internships expect you to work about 20 to 40 hours per week.

3.   Working Full-Time – If you are looking for a more permanent Orlando Jobs with one of these theme parks, it is recommended that you visit their individual websites or their independent recruitment portals to identify opportunities and positions that suit your liking. 

What to Expect out of the Jobs 

It may be your lifelong dream to work at one of the happiest places on earth, but it is important to remember that these theme parks adhere to very strict standards of recruitment. You will be expected to follow all kinds of guidelines with respect to the color and shape of your glasses to the style of your haircut.
